Life on Ice

So ya know that lovely snowfall we were greeted with on Monday morning? The one everyone was so excited about because it brought us an excuse to huddle up at home, hang with our families, and do nothing for awhile?

Well, all of that has turned into quite the icy mess. And now many folks around these parts are getting a touch of cabin fever. Some are happily continuing to take advantage of having their husbands at home to help with kiddos and are getting lots accomplished. Or so they say. I would know nothing about that since my husband has gone into work at his normal time each day and left me here with the munchkins, as normal. (Darn that work ethic of his!) Plus, of course all of our scheduled activities have been cancelled, leaving us at home going a little bit stir crazy. It's o.k., though. Really. All good.

Now it has been kind of nice having some down time, pulling out some board games we've been meaning to play, trudging through the ice a little to slide down a hill on the lid of a Rubbermaid tub, baking with the oldest munchkin, and so on. However, all of this ice and nastiness has meant no bootcamp and no opportunity for a run, which can sometimes mean a cranky mama.

So, tonight, I decided to suck it up and do this...

And guess what? I found a friend crazy enough to join me! And, indeed, I feel like a new woman now! Ready to take on the world! Or at least one more "ice" day...

Oh, and I've found a few more crazy peeps who want to join us tomorrow! Hooray!
